I unloaded and tied on some baits and headed out of the no wake zone about 10:45.
Water Temperature varied between 46-48 so I headed to a rock cliff with Northern Exposure.
I threw a jerk bait for about an hour with no hits. I changed to 1/4 oz black/blue hair jig (Punisher) and a black Zoom Super Chunk Jr. with the tails dipped in Chartreuse Dip n Dye. The dye turns the Black tail a dark green. Well, it wasn't long before I landed a nice Spotted Bass; almost 3#. Three casts later I hooked up with a smaller Spot.
Twenty yards away, just off of a deep point and up the beginning of a flat, I caught a nice Large mouth; 20" long and 5.14#. On the very next cast I catch a 19" Small mouth weighing 4.8#.At 2:00 PM with the wind picking up and getting colder, I called it a day and loaded the boat. A good few hours with benefits! Cheers!
